Low-budget hotel in a nice area short walk to Loweswater and the surrounding area, and Whitehaven.

The location was stunning, to the Lake District, convenient to go everywhere. The breakfast was hearty with very hard grey bacon and offered coffee and toast.

Remote location close to a pub that provides such good value, coast and cockermouth to posthouse, spotless rooms. Lovely English breakfast with appetising meals.

High quality & brand-new unit for my daughters wheelchair. Perfect and exceptionally nice location, in most other Cumbrian pubs. And just next door to loweswater, buttermere, ennerdale crummock water as well as the Old Posting House for a pub lunch.

We absolutely loved our stay at this place! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff here are fantastic, providing us with top-notch service and making us feel right at home. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could ask for - from ironing facilities and heating to tea and coffee making facilities. We especially enjoyed the comfortable sitting area and the terrace, where we could relax and take in the stunning surroundings. The rooms were also soundproofed, ensuring a peaceful and quiet night's sleep. The toiletries provided were of high quality and added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. The dining experience here was exceptional, with a restaurant and bar/lounge area offering delicious meals, including a hearty breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs, even providing packed lunches and special diet options. We couldn't have asked for more!

We would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends without any hesitation. It truly is a gem!

Bar shut very early, cooked breakfast lukewarm, and picked up stomach bug!

I stayed at this hotel before and would love to stay here again. Its incredible, remote location was a plus. Also, St Michael's Chapel was 3 km away. The restaurant was nice with excellent service here, I had excellent dishes.

This place is in a quiet area and has a great location near the coast, the Lake District, and Loweswater.
